Fitness Workouts From Home – The Benefits

Working out has many health benefits;

  • Can aid in weight loss
  • Strengthen muscles and improve endurance
  • Helps protect against heart disease
  • Can help control cholesterol
  • Reduces risks of chronic diseases (EX. Diabetes, High blood pressure)
  • Reduce symptoms of pain
  • Better Immunity and stress management
  • Gives you more energy
  • Improves your sleeping habits.

The list can go on and on!

But who actually has the time or motivation to go to the gym after a long day at work?

In this article, I am going to be sharing with you the just a few benefits you can take advantage of by doing fitness workouts from home.


No Need To Get Ready.

When working out from home there is no need to get ready. You are in the comforts of your own home where is doesn’t matter what you wear or whether or not you have makeup on.

No Wasted Time On The Commute.

One of my favourite parts about working out at home is that there is no commute involved. You don’t have to waste time driving to a gym AND you don’t have to make the drive back home when you are sore from a long workout! Working out from home also gives you the freedom to be able to workout whenever you want/can. Say you had 30 minutes before your food is done in the oven… Get a few reps in! Or maybe your favourite show is on… Do some squats, sit ups, push ups, etc. during the commercials!


You Don’t Have To Be Self-Conscious.

When in the comforts of your home while working out, there is no need for being self-conscious or embarrassed. You don’t have to worry about who might be looking at you and if you are doing the exercise to the same standard as others. At home, you can focus on what you are doing and stay concentrated. You can also push yourself to your limits and make all the noises and faces you may not want to make in public.


Make Your Own Program.

There is no need to follow a program or wait in line for machines when you are at home. You have the freedom to use whatever you want, when you want to use it. You also have the option of allowing your children/pets to join in with you! At home workout sessions also have the awesome option of blasting your music instead of using the dreaded headphones!



Unlike workouts at the gym, the only sweaty germs you have to worry about are your own! There is no need to sanitize everything before your workouts as you know the only germs present are those of yours or your families, you also know when the last time it has been sanitized and what has been touching it since!



There’s nothing better than being in the comforts of your home after a long day. So, when I have the option of working out from home I take it. There are so many benefits, but these are just the select few that make a huge impact on my choice.

  1. Very convincing!! Great points !!! – why portray / b involved in the worst out .. while you can do that at home, and be your ‘best’ when you’re out !!?! Your way ,the work can still b enjoyable at home , but you work to be out at your best !! ๐Ÿ˜œGreat thinking
